Wide ranging Harvard research provides further evidence that all antipsychotics are not equal in the risk they pose in the elderly population withe dementia.
Haloperidol comes out as the worst culprit while Quetiapine appears to be the safest.

In November 2011, Dr El-Khoury presented a workshop over 2 weeks at the invitation of the UNDP TOKTEN project and OMSAR, the Lebanese ministerial department concerned with administrative reform. The audience, drawn up from a number of public hospitals from across the country, shared their own experiences and were familiarised with the theory and practice of critical stress mamagement and disaster response from a psychological perspective.

An interesting article on a community mental health project run by Medecins Sans Frontieres in the Southern district in Beirut. While its main target were the inhabitants of the refugee camps of Burj El Barajneh, I know for a fact that many Lebanese benefited from it and from other similar projects in the South of the country.
